Paint out in the Flint Hills and near KCI in April

La Paloma y La Rana

Mattie Rhodes Art Gallery is having an opening for La Paloma y La Rama May 6.  The reception is 6 - 10 pm, on First Friday.  The exhibit will feature work inspired by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.  This painting was done by Peggy Wilson.

There was an incredible amount of smoke in the air.

Peggy and I essentially painted at the same waterfall. This is my first impression. Still needs more work.

Sunday April 3: Watkin's Mill Park, Kearney MO.

I found this interesting at a 'not so beautiful' lake.  Warm 70 degrees and windy about 70 mph!

It was extremely windy so I hunkered down by the lake to paint.
